I’m mostly a self taught artist, other than taking art classes in high school and CCAD Saturday school sessions. I was among the best artists in my classes and received recognition early on. I used to draw up cartoons from imagination starting around 10 years old, inspired by comic books and the local newspaper. After high school I stopped drawing until the year 2000 when I began oil painting, and have been painting off and on since. I have over 20 years of painting experience and have had several solo exhibitions in Columbus and won some awards in Art for Life exhibitions like “most Whimsical” for my “Dead Pac-Man” outdoor exhibit on the street. I focus mostly on my creative and imagination instead of painting from photographs.
