Artist Statement:

Solomon Adu (born 1995, Nkoranza, Ghana) is presenting his first solo exhibition with Contemporary Art Matters, Columbus, OH. He has previously participated in group exhibitions including Home is Here Too at Beeler Gallery, Columbus College of Art and Design, Columbus, OH; 52nd UAE National Day at the Embassy, Accra, Ghana; and Emerging Echoes from Ghana at Contemporary Art Matters, Columbus, OH. His work is held in numerous collections, such as The Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection in West Palm Beach, FL. In 2016, he apprenticed with Muzzay, a senior artist in Nima, and in 2017 continued under Rufai Zakari. Adu lives and works in Accra, Ghana.
