From the theatrical world of costume design I often branch out beyond fabric into unconventional materials & what has set me aside throughout my artistic career has been my big to small approach to wearable art. My pieces not only function by capturing attention on large stages, but also create intrigue as you become up close & personally aware of the details I lovingly include. My art is my way of finding the happy little things in this life. Kitsch, camp, plays on words, textures, & colors are my favorites to play with while telling my stories. I aim to make pieces that create large audience reactions & more often than not make people smile.
