I have painted intermittently for 25 years and had several works in art for life in the past, and won a few awards in the process. I’m self taught and started painting after watching a few Bob Ross televised episodes of happy accidents. I plan to continue painting for the rest of my life. The newer paintings offer more texture and depth. I usually paint using symbolism and a thought provoking array of ideas, not just a landscape or still life. Painting also brings a way of expressing my innermost desires and needs, often coupled with self reflection and imagination, and the work of art becomes an intimate relationship between myself and the viewer.
