Artist Statement:

I produce art. The medium might include paint, photograph, sculpture, music, object, sound or a combination. I usually work alone, but occasionally in collaboration. My work tells a story of existence and the fragility of life. It is my story, but it could also be your story. Operation Doorstep was a 1953 Civil Defense test of the effects of a proximate atomic blast on homes cars and mannequins staged to represent modern life. In this case a 16 Kiloton nuclear explosion in the Nevada Desert. This pre blast image "Nuclear Family" is an archival photograph with oil and gold leaf on canvas from my 2020 series Operation Doorstep.
