This is the third submission I've made to Art for Life, and I'm very proud to be considered again this year. The change in venue will be fun to take part of, and I'm letting everyone I know they should participate in the event. Of course the primary benefit is to the community, but as an artist, I appreciate the opportunity to show my work and the growth an event of this nature provides for improvement of talent and confidence. I take classes at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center with several artists who also participate in this event, and we are fully aware of the benefit of being involved.
I am a 76 year old artist who is still finding her way with as many mediums as possible. My work has evolved over the years and I'm hopeful the journey will continue. The more I explore the artwork of others, as well as my own, the more I try to stretch not only my skills but the possibilities within me. I find that 'vision' isn't just a term to explain eyesight. Hopefully, I will be around for many more years to explore the depth of my own vision....next in line is the process known as 'Cold wax' and oil.
