Artist Statement:
In her recent work, Kikta uses black Micron pen and gold acrylic paint to create detailed drawings that often highlight aspects of the natural world (birds, snakes, plants, flowers) while also exploring the musculature, organs and internal tissue of the human body. Exploring the symbolism of plants, animals, flowers, and objects, Katie explores the emotions of life.
Artist Bio:
Katie is a local artist, high school art teacher, and licensed realtor. She’s a full time creative, adventurer and learner. Katie is a Columbus native and lives in Clintonville with her wife, Jamie, and their brood of animals.
