Bill Baker is a LOCAL Ohio artist, who paints brilliant colors in acrylics and oils. Following his art studies at Newark High School, where he was awarded the Licking County Arts scholarship, he studied Architecture at Kent State, as well as Fine Arts at CCAD. With Best Of Show awards in Ohio and Florida, one favorite topic is lighthouses, having seen many during his U.S. Navy service. Birds, such as the Ohio Cardinal, captured his attention while roaming the hills of the Ohio Valley, his birthplace. Currently living locally on Buckeye Lake, he often paints memories of early morning fishing outings with his five Grandchildren. Clearly, his personal experiences guide Baker's work onto the canvas.
