Artist Statement:

I’m fascinated by people—their energy, their mystery, the stories written in their faces. Many of my paintings explore the human form through bold color, texture, and expressive brushwork. Even when I haven’t met the subjects I paint, I feel a connection. As their image takes shape, I talk to them—and they seem to talk back, telling me who they are. While figures are central to my work, I also explore abstract forms, landscapes, and other subjects. I approach each piece with openness and curiosity, experimenting with materials like oil, pastel, collage, and encaustic. For me, painting is a process of discovery—a conversation between the seen and the felt.

Artist Bio:

Kyndall was born in Columbus and has lived in Central Ohio her entire life. As a child, she loved to draw but put away her sketchbook after college to pursue a career and raise a family. In 2020, after a complete hiatus from art of over thirty years, she began taking art classes online and at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center. The old passion returned. In 2022, she entered her first exhibition (The Ohio State Fair) and had two paintings accepted, one of which won an Ohio Arts Council Award. Since then, she has exhibited frequently in central Ohio, including in the 2023 Art for Life auction. Kyndall is represented by Hayley Gallery in New Albany.
