Artist Statement:

Two Cool Cats invites the viewer into a playful moment of connection and reflection—literally. This vibrant, mixed-media painting combines bold brushwork, unexpected colors, and real-world elements to blur the line between observer and subject. Styled with punk-rock fur and a confident stare, this cool cat wears sunglasses that aren’t just an accessory. In those lenses, you’re not just looking at the cat; you become part of the piece. For a brief second, it’s you and the feline, face to face—two cool cats sizing each other up. This work celebrates attitude, individuality, and the joy of not taking ourselves too seriously. It’s about seeing yourself in unexpected places and maybe even catching a glimpse of your own cool.
