Artist Statement:

Driven by a deep sense of curiosity, I’m constantly looking for new ways to create perspective through illustration and printmaking. My work often begins with an everyday observation — a sidewalk crack, a streetlight glow, the shape of an unfamiliar building — and evolves into something more dream-like and interpretive. Whether I’m sketching from a walk around the block or exploring the quiet stories of small towns, I’m drawn to the beauty of the overlooked and the magic that exists in ordinary moments. As a screen printer and printmaker, I value process just as much as the final image. I like when the evidence of the human hand shows through — the slight misregistrations, the texture of a coffee stain on paper, or the imperfections that come from working analog. There’s something uniquely personal about those “mistakes,” the ones only I could make. They remind me that art-making is a living, breathing act — not just a product, but a record of time, effort, and attention. In all my work, I aim to create a sense of warmth, place, and wonder — a quiet invitation to see the world a little differently.
